Scope of Work:
Sunde Engineering provided civil and environmental engineering services for multiple phased improvements at Town and Country Club, a historic private golf and country club in St. Paul — integrating a new maintenance facility, amenity pool deck, and club building into a constrained, ecologically sensitive site with a 100-year legacy of active use.
The site presented a distinctive set of civil engineering challenges: steep slopes, a mature tree canopy that had to be preserved throughout construction, and an existing waterway bend requiring active protection. Sunde Engineering design provided grading and drainage, stormwater management for newly created hard surfacing, sewer and water utility services, and erosion control across the exposed site areas — all while protecting the natural systems that define the character of the property.
Equally important to the club's leadership was maintaining unobstructed sight lines for members across the course. Sunde Engineering design met both priorities simultaneously — delivering a fully functional maintenance facility centrally located for the grounds crew's daily operations, without compromising the visual experience that defines membership at a club of this caliber.

Civil Engineering for Historic and Sensitive Sites
Town and Country Club is a strong example of Sunde Engineering ability to deliver complex civil engineering on constrained, ecologically sensitive sites where technical precision and site sensitivity are equally important.
